RIF partnered with Adani Foundation to undertake a community development program consisting of a series of activities such as Health Camps for pregnant and lactating women which involved checkup of women with blood tests, distribution of soaps and sanitary napkins, Nutri-gardens to improve nutrition including a demo and distribution of seed packets, and community interaction for current needs in multiple locations at Mira Bhayandar.
A rapid need assessment was also undertaken to identify the pressing needs within the community and design appropriate long-term interventions. The program through its activities reached out to over 1000 households
Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board – Skill Development
RIF partnered with Maharashtra Kamgar Kalyan Mandal (MLWB) to strengthen its capacities and systems for skill development of youth from migrant and workers for livelihood and income generation. The Partnership along with YuWaah for skilling of individuals was formally launched in September with training partners such as Youth4Jobs, Fr Agnels, Tata Strive to design and provide free training to individuals.
RIF is currently working to conduct trainings and orientation sessions for the various project officials across multiple districts. RIF has also provided counselling and information to create awareness about the various free skill trainings available for the youth.
Furthermore, youth who are interested in the program are being provided free of cost training by the training partners.
