Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023 Consultation Meeting

As a collaborative effort between MahaPECOnet and the Maharashtra Urban WASH and Environmental Sanitation Coalition, a consultation meeting was organized on 11.05.2023 to discuss the week-long celebration dedicated to Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023. To ensure active participation and engagement, the Secretariat compiled a list of members specializing in WASH and Health, particularly in menstrual hygiene management. Personal invitations were extended to these partners by the Secretariat, emphasizing the importance of their involvement in the consultation. The MahaPECOnet members actively participated in the meeting, sharing their plans for the upcoming celebration in achieving the goals of promoting menstrual hygiene.

Following the consultation meeting, the Secretariat shared the campaign messages with its members. The Secretariat frequently communicated with the members through calls to receive updates. The estimated reach for the MHM activities by MahaPECOnet members in Maharashtra was around 18,250. The campaign covered 14 districts: Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Pune, Nandurbar, Parbhani, Amravati, Wardha, Nagpur, Palghar, Satara, Solapur, Nashik, Aurangabad and Mumbai.
