Three Days Residential Training on Psycho-Social Support in Emergencies by NIDM, Americares and Sphere India

Sphere India in collaboration with the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) and Americares India Foundation organized a Three-Day Regional Training for Humanitarian Professionals on “Psychosocial Support (PSS) in Emergencies” from 27th to 29th Feb. 2024 in YUVA Center Navi Mumbai. This training program aimed to strengthen the competencies of humanitarian actors working in disasters and humanitarian settings to establish, support and scale up PSS in communities.

Applications were extended to the states of Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan to participate in this opportunity and become part of a roster of trained volunteers on PSS. The secretariat team was selected to participate in this residential workshop. Shilpa Shirwadkar and Mansi Gamre represented the RISE Infinity Foundation-MahaPECOnet at this workshop. A total of 32 participants including NIDM, Sphere India, NIMHANS and Americares experts were present for this comprehensive training.
